This was my first visit. I was impressed with the service and ambiance. I loved my husbands Huevos con Chorizo. It was very tasty. I was a little less impressed with my baja fish tacos. The fish portions were just too small. Despite that, I will definitely return again.

What an amazing event today. I called Yolanda, manager, to set up my mom's celebration of life and what a blessing. Yolanda was kind, professional and compassionate and helped me with the menu for 35 people. We also had strawberry margaritas. I spoke with Yolanda the day before and she had everything set and ready. I got there early today to set up and met Yolanda. The room was absolutely perfect. I then met with Blanca, Esvin, & Danny who did a fantastic job serving the amazing food, drinks and dessert. The celebration was a true blessing and the and we are so Thankful for the staff at El Zarape and the amazing food and service. Highly recommended

Taco Tuesday @El Zarape in Hemet: (in the bar) Chips and salsa, 1 chicken taco, 1 grilled fish taco, 2 ground beef tacos, 3 beef taquitos, 2 regular Margaritas and a large draft beer. It's all delicious and plentiful, the service was good and it only set me back under $30.00. I recommend this restaurant for sure.

Supporting local business is always a good thing. Place gets busy even on a Sunday, tables are turned over and staff is busy during the peak times, ask for more pico salsa; its pretty good and not spicy. We went with the beef as the option, still the way to go. Give them a shot during off peak hours non weekends

Being it was Fathers Day the restaurant was crowded. The hostess tried to sit us at the counter, but we chose a two seat table. I am short and a tall seat was not good for my hip. I ordered the senior one shredded taco combo with rice and beans. It was enough food for me. My son ordered a Wet Shredded Beef Burrito and he said it was good. My beef taco was so-so, the beef didn't have much of a taste, the beans tasted good and the rice had tomato pieces included which tasted good. Suggestion: The shredded beef at another restaurant has onions and peppers in the beef to flavor it. Not spicy peppers. Some seniors don't eat spicy. This time the chips were better, a little warm and the salsa tasted good. We asked for a second bowl of chips and later asked for more salsa. If the bowl was a little larger we wouldn't have to ask for more. I noticed at the table of six their bowl of chips was small also. I hope they had another one or two bowls at the other end of their table. There was adequate staff for the amount of diners and all employees we encountered were courteous.

Clean restaurant, friendly staff, delicious Mexican food. My mother ordered the Chile Arellano plate and I ordered the shrimp enchilada plate. Highly recommend this place!
